Cooler weekend weather likely

Temperatures in Billings are expected to near 90 on Thursday, but weekend highs should be significantly cooler. 

The National Weather Service predicts a high of 88 on Thursday, under sunny skies. An 11 mph wind from the southwest is likely.

After midnight, a 20 percent chance of showers is expected to creep into the forecast. Lows of 59 and partly cloudy skies are possible.   

A mostly sunny day and highs near 81 are possible Friday, though a slight chance of showers will continue. A northwest wind of 6 to 8 mph should switch to the southeast in the afternoon. 

Lows will drop to 57 Friday night as skies become partly cloudy. A 6 to 11 mph wind should switch to the southwest after midnight.
