Nina M. Klein, 26, of Billings has been identified as the woman who died in a fiery rollover on Sunday.

Klein died of blunt-force trauma from the one-car crash, said Yellowstone County Coroner Bill Jones.

Two other people, a 17-year-old Billings boy and Klein's 3-year-old daughter, were injured.

Mark Tome, a trooper with the Montana Highway Patrol, said the teenager, who was driving the car and was not related to Klein, was being treated at Billings Clinic. Klein's daughter was at St. Vincent Healthcare.

Neither of them appeared to have life-threatening injuries and both were in stable condition, Tome said. He declined to identify them.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of North Frontage and Exxon Mobil roads on Sunday morning after a maroon Buick Regal rolled into a nearby field.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the car was eastbound on North Frontage when it drifted off the road and continued along a ditch until it struck the embankment leading up to the intersection.

The car launched into the air and rolled, landing on its top and catching fire. Passers-by tried to put the flames out until Lockwood Fire and Rescue arrived and extinguished them.

Firefighters then removed the teen, who had been partially thrown from the car, and the young girl from the smoking Buick.

A short time later they were able to cut off the car's passenger side door and remove Klein, who was declared dead at the scene.

Tome said the accident remained under investigation. He said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash, and that the driver may have been distracted. He said he hadn't spoken with the driver as of late Monday.

Because the accident involved a fatality, Tome said, the Yellowstone County Attorney's Office will have to decide whether to file any criminal charges in the incident.
