A crash at Broadwater Avenue and 10th Street West tied up traffic during the lunch hour, but caused no serious injuries.

The accident happened around 12:30 p.m., when a blue Chevrolet Aveo heading north on 10th Street West failed to stop properly at a stop sign and hit a maroon Dodge van traveling on Broadwater Avenue.

The van was traveling within the posted speed limit of 35 mph, and the driver of the Aveo appeared not to have yielded the right of way, said Billings Police Officer Todd Clyatt.

The driver of the Aveo will be ticketed.

Airbags deployed in the van. No major injuries were reported. Both vehicles were not operable after the collision.
