A two-vehicle accident at 12th Street West and Broadwater Avenue at about 3:10 p.m. Friday is slowing traffic.

A man driving a Dodge Intrepid was traveling northbound on 12th Street West when he failed to yield right-of-way to a man traveling westbound on Broadwater Avenue in a Ford Bronco.

The vehicles collided in the intersection and the impact sent both vehicles into a residential front yard at 1201 Broadwater Avenue. The Dodge struck a tree and the Ford came to a rest on a curb.

The man driving the Dodge was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police Officer John Tate said a citation for the man driving the Dodge will be issued.
