Two men were arrested Wednesday in connection with a drive-by shooting last week that sent a Billings man to the hospital.

Billings Police detectives have been investigating the shooting since early on the morning of Oct. 1, when several shots were fired into the home, at 604 Broadwater Ave. of Joseph Dorn, 21. He was sleeping in his bedroom at the time and was struck in the buttocks.

Dorn was taken by ambulance to Billings Clinic, where he underwent surgery that same day. He was listed in good condition on Tuesday.

Detective Sgt. Mitch Hart said that at about 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, investigators found five possible suspects at a home at 821 N. 17th St. while conducting surveillance.

All five were detained and questioned and Jared White Hawk and Jude Jason Knowshisgun, both 18, were taken in for further question.

Hart said White Hawk was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. Knowshisgun, who police said was a passenger in the car at the time of the shooting, was arrested on a probation violation. He was not charged with any crimes related to the shooting Wednesday night.

White Hawk and Knowshisgun were booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
