A prisoner walked away from a Billings pre-release center on Tuesday night but was arrested on Wednesday morning.

Angelica Melody Gray, 23, left the Passages community corrections program, at 1001 S. 27th St., at about 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday and didn't return, according to a news release from from Alternatives, Inc. 

Police arrested Gray near Montana Avenue and North 17th Street at about 9:45 a.m. without incident, said BPD Lt. Kevin Iffland.

Gray was booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Facility without bond.

Gray faces an additional 10-year prison sentence if convicted of escape.

She was convicted of criminal possession of dangerous drugs in Lewis and Clark County in 2012 and arrived at Passages on April 7.
