A Billings Police Department patrol car was involved in a crash with a driver suspected of DUI just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Sgt. Ronda Fox. There were no injuries.

A police officer was headed north on Eighth Street West when a 29-year-old man heading west on Miles Avenue in a 2003 Monte Carlo did not stop at a stop sign and struck the police car, according to a BPD press release.

The officer and the driver of the Monte Carlo were evaluated at the scene and neither went to a hospital.

The driver was taken to the DUI processing center, Fox said.

The investigation is continuing. Both vehicles had to be towed.
