Three people were taken to the hospital on Monday evening after a head-on crash near Bridger.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Shane Warehime said that, just before 5 p.m., a 53-year-old Bridger woman was driving a Subaru GL eastbound on Selms Road, east of Bridger, when it drove into the oncoming traffic lane as it rounded a curve in the road.
The Subaru then crashed head-on into a westbound Honda CRV, driven by a 52-year-old Bridger man, Warehime said.
The woman was taken by Bridger ambulance to St. Vincent Healthcare while the Honda's driver and a 56-year-old Bridger man who was a passenger in the Subaru were taken by ambulance to Beartooth Billings Clinic in Red Lodge.
Warehime said that the investigation continues and that troopers are looking into whether or not substance use played a role in the crash. Charges are pending the results of the investigation, he said.
