A man accused of his fourth felony case in less than six months was charged Wednesday in Justice Court.

Renzy Allen Cerovski, 45, appeared before Judge Larry D. Herman by video from the county jail and was charged with felony charges of burglary and possession of dangerous drugs.

Cerovski was arrested April 9 at about 3 a.m. when officers found him fleeing from a residence on the 100 block of North 19th Street. Police had been called to the house after a caller reported a man prowling around the house.

When officers caught up with Cerovski, he told them the house was abandoned and he was looking for antiques.

During a pat search, police found a clock, a set of lock picks and a bag holding a half gram of methamphetamine.

Herman set bond at $60,000 after a prosecutor said Cerovski has previous felony convictions for theft, consecutive with two outstanding $20,000 bonds he posted on release orders.

Cerovski was charged with two felony counts of theft in November for stealing two trailers, one of which held thousands of dollars of gymnastic equipment.

The prosecuting attorney added that Cerovski has a lengthy criminal history, including 18 previous bench warrants.

Cerovski is scheduled for arraignment April 16. If convicted of burglary, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $50,000. Conviction of criminal possession of dangerous drugs is punishable by up to five years in prison and a a fine not to exceed $50,000.
