A man with what prosecutors said were at least nine previous drunken driving convictions admitted Monday to a 10th offense.
Allen Bruce Chappell, 61, appeared in front of District Judge G. Todd Baugh and pleaded guilty to felony charges of DUI and criminal endangerment, as well as a misdemeanor count of driving without a license.
Police arrested Chappell on Oct. 19, 2012, after a crash on Broadwater Avenue.
Charging documents state that Chappell was driving an SUV and turned in front of a motorcycle, causing the crash.
The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man, was not seriously injured.
Chappell was arrested after performing poorly on field sobriety tests.
Prosecutors said he has nine prior DUI convictions in four states from 1974 to 2011 before the most recent incident.
Baugh set a sentencing date of Dec. 13.
