A man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of felony partner of family member assault for threatening his ex-girlfriend with a knife.

Noah Michael Spooner, 34, admitted that on Dec. 26, 2013, he put his ex-girlfriend in reasonable apprehension of harm when he showed her a knife.

Charging documents say Spooner, who had been drinking that night, took a large kitchen knife and yelled, “Oh, you want to get crazy?” at the woman while she was calling 911.

Spooner is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17. A plea agreement suggests that an additional count of felony assault with a weapon be dismissed, and that Spooner be given a sentence of five years probation.
