A man who prosecutors say choked his girlfriend made an initial court appearance Monday on a charge of felony aggravated assault.

Judge David A. Carter set 23-year-old Trevor Anthony Neal Fuller’s bond at $5,000 and ordered him to appear in District Court for arraignment on April 8.

Charging documents say police responded to the 1300 block of Parkhill Drive on Saturday and arrested Fuller after he hit and choked his girlfriend, who reported she was afraid she would “black out.”

A responding officer reported the alleged victim had scratches on her hands and arms, an abrasion on her chin and redness on her neck.
