A 31-year-old man has been charged with raping a woman at a Billings night club.

Marcus Earl Johnson appeared for arraignment Friday in Yellowstone County District Court by video from the county jail. He pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of sexual intercourse without consent.

Judge Ingrid Gustafson set bond at $15,000.

Prosecutors allege that Johnson raped a woman at a Billings night club on Sept. 29, 2012. The woman reported that she was pulled into a dark room and assaulted as loud music covered her screams.

Johnson called police later that night and reported that a woman in leopard spandex pulled him into a dark theater and tried to have sex with him, court records state.

Johnson later provided DNA for testing. Prosecutors said the state crime lab determined Johnson's DNA could not be excluded from a sample collected from the woman.
