A Billings man made his first court appearance on Friday afternoon in Justice Court on seven counts of felony sexual intercourse without consent and one count of sexual assault.

Franz Joseph Diangson, 52, appeared before Judge Larry Herman as the charges against him were read.

Diangson is accused of three counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with one victim beginning in 1997, when she was 10 years old. The charges allege that the abuse continued until she was 17.

He's accused on four more counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with a second victim. The charges allege that the abuse started in 2001, when the victim was 8 years old, and continued until she was 14.

The single felony charge of sexual abuse stems from an incident in 2001 when he is alleged to have groped the second victim in the presence of another minor.

Diangson appeared by video from the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.

Diangson was ordered to appear in District Court on Tuesday.  He is being held on $75,000 bond.

Judge Herman told Diangson that if he is released on bond, he must avoid any contact with children.
