A Billings man will probably be charged Tuesday for the death of a man whose body was found Sunday morning in an alley.

The Yellowstone County Coroner's office identified the victim as 44-year-old Scott Maxson of Billings. After an autopsy on Monday, Deputy Coroner Chad Fehr said Maxson died after being shot several times in his torso.

Jeffrey Todd Guy, 42, was arrested shortly after he called police on Sunday morning to report that he had found a body while taking out his trash.

The body was found in an alley behind Guy's house at 738 Broadwater Ave.

Iffland said prosecutors are expected to charge Guy with deliberate homicide on Tuesday. Guy remains in the Yellowstone County jail.
