A man is in serious condition after he was shot early Friday morning on the South Side.

Billings Police Department Lt. Jeremy House said in a news release that officers were called to a shooting at 506 S. 30th St. just after 1:30 a.m.

Once there, they found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his pelvic area, House said.

"The victim was transported to Billings Clinic by (American Medical Response)," he wrote in the release. "The victim is in serious condition."

Officers found a 30-year-old woman "who is involved in the case" and are interviewing her, House said.

Further information wasn't immediately available, and the incident remains under investigation.
