Billings police searching for a man who robbed a West End casino on Monday afternoon.

Just before 3 p.m., the robber walked into Casino Royale, at 2455 Central Ave., while possibly armed and demanded money, Billings Police Department Sgt. Ronda Fox said in a news release.

The man then left the casino with an undisclosed amount of cash and drove off in a vehicle, which police determined had been stolen. Fox said officers found the stolen vehicle about a block away from the casino shortly after the robbery.

While Fox said in the release that the robber walked into the casino with a gun, she noted that the employee at the casino "did not see a visible weapon."

The robber is described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30 and wearing a purple bandanna over his face. Further information on his description wasn't provided.

The investigation continues.
