A suspect in the abduction and murder of Dejuan Laster was returned to Billings on Friday from Colorado and is being held in the county jail.

Simon Elliot Jacobson, 28, was identified by his accomplice, James Adam Walker, 32, as Laster's killer according to court records. He was arrested in Denver on Jan. 21.

Laster, a 29-year-old former Billings resident who most recently lived in the Chicago area, was the target of a robbery that Walker reportedly said was carefully planned and executed by Jacobson.

Walker said "Jacobson was the person who planned and set everything in motion," according to the court records. Walker initially denied knowing what happened to Laster.

Walker, 32, was charged in Justice Court on Jan. 24 with aggravated kidnapping by accountability, kidnapping and two counts of robbery.

Jacobson will make his initial appearance in Justice Court next week.
