Prosecutors on Monday charged a woman with felony assault with a weapon, alleging she hit another woman in the face with a whiskey bottle.

Tiffany Shon Medicine Horse, 34, made an initial court appearance in Yellowstone County Justice Court before Judge David A. Carter, who set the woman’s bond at $2,500 and ordered her to appear June 16 in District Court.

According to charging documents, Medicine Horse was at a residence in the area of South 28th Street and Second Avenue South on Friday when she hit another woman in the face with something in a paper bag.

A Billings police officer investigated and spoke with the alleged victim, who said that she had been hit with a whiskey bottle.

The officer observed the victim’s injury and questioned whether something as large as a whiskey bottle could have caused the cut, charging documents state.

Medicine Horse told the judge the alleged victim is her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend. Carter ordered her not to have contact with the alleged victim or any witnesses.
