Montana State University Billings is organizing a trip to Vietnam that the public may join.

Keith Edgerton, MSU Billings history professor, will lead the trip, Feb. 27-March 9, 2014.

A meeting to explain the trip will be Feb. 27, noon- 1 p.m., in the faculty lounge on the eighth floor of MSU Billings’ liberal arts building.

The focus of the trip will be the history of Vietnam and its impact on United States history.

“Our goal with the trip is to gain greater awareness of the land itself, its people and its culture,” Edgerton said in a press release.

“We want to visit sites — both in what were once called North and South Vietnam — that made headline news here in America back in the 1960s and 1970s.”

The tour group will include students, educators and the public and is handled by Global Travel Alliance of Billings.
