No one was hurt when part of a home caught fire Saturday evening northeast of Billings.

Shepherd and Worden Fire Departments responded to the Pioneer Drive home shortly before 5 p.m. Smoke billowed from one end of the house as the residents arrived.

Lots of smoke could be seen, but there was minimal exterior damage to the house.

No one was home when the fire started, and no one was injured, according to Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Ryan Taylor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
