South 34th fire

Billings fire fighters battle a smoky house fire at 208 South 34th Street.

A house fire caused about $150,000 in damage to a residence on Billings' South Side Monday afternoon. 

A woman and two dogs escaped the fire without injury, according to a release from Billings Fire Department Assistant Fire Marshal Bill Tatum. 

The fire destroyed a basement bedroom. The rest of the house on South 34th Street suffered significant smoke damage. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
