Free child screening planned

A free screening for children ranging in age from birth to 5 years is scheduled for March 7 at the Shrine Auditorium, 1125 Broadwater Ave.

Children ages birth through 3 years will be screened by Early Childhood Intervention staff. Information will be given about the child's development, and staff will be available to address concerns.

Children ages 3 to 5 will be screened in speech, hearing, vision, thinking skills, physical development, and overall growth and development by School District 2 staff.

Contact Billings Public Schools Student Services department at 281-5033 for school-aged children living within the Billings Public Schools attendance area who meet the following criteria:

• Older than 5 years

• Home-schooled, homeless or attends private school

• Is suspected to have learning difficulties and may be in need of a special education evaluation.

All services are available to residents of School District 2. Appointments are required. To schedule, or for more information, call 281-5078.
