The fifth annual Chicks in Science is set for noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Montana State University Billings, Alterowitz Gymnasium.

Girls can check out more than 50 booths with hands-on activities in science- or math-related industry or academic fields.

Chicks in Science was designed in 2008 to introduce young women to science and math in an appealing way.

Last year, the event attracted nearly 2,000 participants and 250 volunteers.

The event is free, and no registration is required.
