American Legion Yellowstone Post 4 is hosting a benefit on Saturday to help cover medical bills of Scott Stewart, who died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on July 14. He died on July 19.

Stewart, 51, was an active member of the Vietnam Vets Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club, American Legion Yellowstone Post 4, VFW Post 1634 and served on the Honor Guard for both posts.

He was the current historian and past sergeant at arms of Post 4.

The benefit begins with a pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 11 a.m. for $5 per person at 1540 Broadwater Ave.

From 7 to 10 p.m. a benefit dance and silent auction will be held in the main bar at the American Legion Post 4, also at 1540 Broadwater. Cost is $5 per person or $10 per couple.

Stewart’s friends have set up a benefit fund at a local bank to assist with medical bills. Checks can be made out to American Legion/Scott Stewart.
