The Billings City Council quickly and unanimously approved a resolution Monday night that orders miscellaneous curb, gutter, sidewalk and storm drain improvements around the city.

The improvements include unfulfilled building permit obligations and the continuance of annual projects to deal with tripping hazards, drainage problems, property owner requests and other miscellaneous concrete work.

The total cost of the proposed work comes to $732,500, with $425,000 of that coming from assessments on property owners.

The council also approved, on second and final reading, a zone change for 97 acres at Gabel and Hesper roads, the site of a proposed FedEx Ground trucking hub.
