Two Billings business owners received recognition in the Small Business Administration’s 2014 Small Business Week Awards announced Tuesday.

The SBA named Randy and Janna Hafer of High Plains Architects as small business persons of the year for Montana. Randy Hafer is president and Janna Hafer is chief financial officer of High Plains Architects.

Other honorees were:

— Ted Lovec of Billings, owner of American Title & Escrow, was named Small Business Person of the Year for businesses that employ 11 to 50 people

— Tiffanty Lach, owner, Sola Café and Red Tractor Pizza Co., Bozeman, Small Business Person of the Year for businesses with more than 50 employees

— Alison Fried, owner, Dragonfly Dry Goods, Great Falls; women-owned small business

— Glacier Bank, top performing lender for number and dollar volume of loans, with 62 loans for $9.8 million

— Big Sky Economic Development Corp., top performing certified development company, with 17 loans for $12.3 million

National Small Business Week events are scheduled for June 12 in Billings.
