The parched Billings area will continue to bake in the sun as temperatures in the Magic City hover near 90 for the remainder of the work-week.

The first chance for precipitation won't come until Friday evening when a 20 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms is expected, according to the National Weather Service.  

Sunny and hot weather with a high near 90 is expected Wednesday in Billings. A light southeast breeze of 5 to 9 mph is expected to become east in the afternoon.

Skies will remain clear overnight and lows will fall to 60. Winds will shift slightly to the southwest overnight. 

Highs will reach 91 Thursday and skies will be sunny. A light southwest wind 5 to 8 mph will become southeast in the afternoon.

A light breeze will continue Thursday night. Skies will be partly cloudy and lows will fall to 60.
