HRDC event at the zoo attracts crowd

Nearly 4,000 people attended the free night at ZooMontana on Thursday hosted by HRDC Community Action Agency.

The entrance count was 1,772 adults and 2,080 kids.

HRDC administers Montana’s Best Beginnings Child Care Scholarship in Big Horn, Carbon, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, Yellowstone and Treasure counties. Children enrolled in Best Beginnings must attend a licensed child care center, registered group, family child care home, or legally certified child care provider. Recipients of the scholarship program are required to meet work and income guidelines.

Community organizations with resource booths and activities at the event included St. Vincent Healthcare, Montana Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, STEP, Inc., Family Support Network, The Center for Children and Families, Wise Wonders: A Montana Children's Museum, RiverStone Health WIC, Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, The Family Tree Center, Easter Seals Goodwill, Friendship House of Christian Service, PLUK and Safe Kids Coalition Yellowstone County.
