Federal officials are continuing their investigation into human remains found earlier this month on the Crow Reservation.

The remains have been sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation laboratory for analysis, said William Facer, special agent in public affairs at the FBI in Salt Lake City.

Facer confirmed the discovery on July 14, but did not specify when the remains were found.

Officials from the FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs are working together on the investigation, he said, but declined to give further details.
