Lockwood firefighters extinguished a small grass fire early Saturday.
Ten firefighters responded at 12:40 a.m. to the blaze south of 2224 Highway 87 East with one engine, two brush trucks and two utility trucks, said engineer Brad Bell.
No structures were threatened in the fire. Firefighters had it under control by 1:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Bell said.
