Bruce MacIntyre, the longtime government affairs director for the Billings Chamber of Commerce, was named the chamber’s 2017 Legacy Award honoree Wednesday.
A Billings native, MacIntyre has been involved in the business community for most of his life, both as a business owner and employee. He was the chamber’s director of government affairs from 2006 until his retirement in spring 2017. He owned and operated MacIntyre Motors, managed Briarwood Golf Course and served in a variety of capacities for MasterLube and City Vineyard.
He also served on nonprofit boards, including Billings Family Service and Project Homeless Connect. Soon after his chamber retirement, he won a seat as a trustee on the School District 2 board.
McIntyre will receive the Legacy Award during the chamber’s annual meeting luncheon on Sept. 26. The program begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel and Convention Center, 1223 Mullowney Lane.
