Rocky Mountain College will hold a memorial service for longtime math professor William "Bill" Jamison Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Losekamp Auditorium on campus.
A reception will take place afterward in the Great Room of Prescott Hall.
Jamison, who taught at RMC for 43 years and was a major influence in the lives of many students, died Dec. 1. He had retired from teaching at the college in 2005.
Jamison served in the U.S. Navy, then studied at the California Institute of Technology. He started his teaching career at Montana State College (later called Montana State University).
He began his tenure at Rocky in 1962. Jamison also coached weight-lifting and served as the dean of men from 1963 to 1971.
In 1997, he was inducted into the college's Athletic Hall of Fame. He was awarded Rocky's Distinguished Service Award in 2005.
