An international campaign to raise awareness about gender-based violence against women and girls is coming to Montana State University Billings.

The Women’s and Gender Studies Center at MSUB, the Phoenix Center and Zonta Club of Billings are hosting 16 Days of Activism on campus through Dec. 10.

It's part of the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The annual movement emphasizes that violence against women and girls in all forms is a human-rights issue. Each year the campaign begins on Nov. 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and continues through Dec. 10, International Human Rights Day.

The public is invited to follow the event on social media and participate in four upcoming activities on campus at MSUB, starting Monday and throughout the week. Events are free.
