About half of the structural steel work on the $40 million Scheels sportswear building at Shiloh Crossing is finished.
“There are actually four gables, and two are up,” said senior project manager Tobin “Toby” Basta, who works for the general contractor, Q&D Construction.
The steel on the southwest side of the building should be finished by mid-June. Bricklayers will start on the exterior walls next month. The 220,000-square-foot Scheels building with an indoor Ferris wheel will open on Sept. 6, 2014.
