A 39-year-old Billings man was arrested Thursday night after he told a front desk clerk at the Northern Hotel he had a gun and then demanded money, according to a press release from the Billings Police Department.

The suspect, Daniel Kenneth Baker, left the hotel with money and police found him less than 10 minutes later across the street inside the Crystal Lounge, according to BPD Sgt. Scott Conrad.

"No gun was displayed during the robbery nor was there one found on the defendant," according to the release. Money from the robbery was also recovered.

Baker was compliant when police made contact with him, Conrad said.
