Their Little League World Series bet wasn't so good, but the performance was a big hit.

Linda Rabe, president of the Rapid City, S.D., Chamber of Commerce, and Kim Fowler, interim publisher of The Rapid City Journal, made good on their baseball bet Wednesday and sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" to members of the Billings Chamber of Commerce gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for their annual luncheon.

Before the Billings Big Sky All-Stars played the Harney All-Stars from Rapid City in the opening game of the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pa., on Aug. 18, chamber and newspaper executives in the two cities bet on the outcome. The losers would travel to the winning city and serenade the winners during a membership event.

Billings beat Rapid City 6-4.

Rabe and Fowler were joined in midsong by four tall mascots representing the presidents carved on Mount Rushmore.

"Your boys did an amazing job at the World Series," Rabe said.
