The Montana Rescue Mission is seeking volunteers to help with its Easter meal.

Volunteers prepare and decorate the dining room, package food for take-out, deliver meals to shut-ins, serve those who come for a dinner and help bring the kitchen and dining room back to pristine condition for the next day’s meal, said Sheila Cole, community relations manager at the MRM.

Dinner will be served in the dining room of the MRM Men’s shelter, 2822 Minnesota Ave.

Chapel service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Seating for dinner will begin at 1 p.m. and will conclude at 3 p.m.

In addition to the sit-down meals offered at the mission, take-out meals are prepared and delivered during the week. To receive a takeout meal for Easter, call 259-3800 through April 20.

There also are many volunteer opportunities preparing the meal starting four days before Easter and the day of. Delivery drivers are needed the day of Easter as well. Please call 259-3800 to sign up.

For over 50 years the Montana Rescue Mission has provided poor and homeless people with a delicious holiday dinner and expects to serve more than 600 people this year.
