A botched robbery, which led to a struggle at 2207 Central Ave. on Sunday night, ended in a gunshot wound for a 61-year-old man.

The incident occurred at 11:21 p.m., said Billings Police Department Matt Brewer.

The victim was shot in the upper right arm, Brewer said. The victim also said he knew who shot him.

According to witnesses, the attacker and another man, both wearing black hooded sweatshirts, fled the scene before police arrived, Brewer said. They are both still being sought by police.

The victim was sent to Billings Clinic to have the serious but non-life-threatening wound treated.

The incident is still under investigation.
