The Yellowstone County Sheriff is seeking help from the public in a Lockwood shooting investigation.

A press release from Sheriff Mike Linder on Tuesday afternoon said that investigators would like to talk to several people, including the victim, Walter White, who they have not spoken to since he was discharged from St. Vincent Healthcare.

Investigators have been to White's home and business and Linder said that White has not been in contact regarding the shooting that happened early Jan. 29 at 1270 Lockwood Road.

Linder said authorities are not certain whether White is avoiding contact or if he is unaware investigators are trying to contact him.

Officers said Brandon White, 23, is the son of Walter White, and a person of interest in the shooting.

Other witnesses that investigators are seeking include Kurt Whitling and Jessica Matney, both of Billings, ages unknown.

Linder said that if White, Whitling or Matney are seen, people should not approach them, but contact the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office at 256-2929.
