Skyview High business teacher Molly Barta was named 2017 Montana Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year by the Montana Association of Career and Technical Education. 

Barta also serves as the school's adviser for Business Professionals of America.

“She has spent her entire career striving for excellence and always willing to give back,” said state BPA director Lisa Parker in a release.

Barta was recognized on Oct. 20 at the Annual Montana ACTE Fall Institute. She will be the Montana ACTE candidate for the ACTE Region V Teacher of the Year. The 2018 ACTE Region V conference will be held in April in Colorado.
