Due to winter weather conditions, Yellowstone National Park has temporarily closed several roads to public travel, including the East entrance to the park.
Stretches of highway south of Mammoth Springs, from Tower-Roosevelt to Canyon Village and between Old Faithful and West Thumb were also temporarily shut down as of Tuesday morning.
The South entrance reopened Tuesday afternoon, after a brief closure earlier in the day.
Drivers should expect snow-covered or icy roads, along with traffic delays, when traveling through Yellowstone, park officials stated in a press release issued Tuesday.
Between the park boundary and Red Lodge, snow and ice in the Beartooth Pass area of U.S. Highway 212 also prompted the scenic route's closure at Vista Point.
