Snowfall will continue in Billings Tuesday, but residents should get a break from shoveling Wednesday before more snow falls Thursday and Friday.

The National Weather Service has extended a Winter Storm Warning until 8 a.m. Tuesday, but they warn hazardous conditions will persist for much of the day.

Snow will taper off throughout the day, but lows tonight could be below zero, the warning said.

An inch of snow or less should fall Tuesday. Snowfall should slow significantly by 9 a.m. Tuesday. Highs will reach 15 but the wind chill could drive temperatures as low as minus 15.

Skies will clear Tuesday night, as lows fall to 3. The wind chill will continue to push temperatures near 15 below.

Sunny skies will push into the area on Wednesday as highs reach 32, but wind chill at times could push temperatures near 15 below zero.

Clouds will move back into the area Wednesday night. Skies will be partly cloudy as lows fall to near 13.

Snow will begin falling again Thursday. Four more inches are possible on Thursday and 3 inches could touch down Friday.
