Some schools in the region have announced closures due to record-breaking snowfall.

The biggest district, Billings School District 2, remains in session. 

Officials at Public Schools in Ashland, Shepherd, Pryor and Lame Deer said school is canceled Monday due to snowfall. 

The website for St. Labre, in Ashland, Pretty Eagle, in St. Xavier and St. Charles Mission School in Pryor report that they are closed Monday. 

The principal at Harlowtown says all out of town students are excused from school and bus service will be canceled on Monday. 

Preliminary snowfall totals, taken at 5 a.m. Monday, indicate that 10 inches of snow had already fallen on Billings.
