Senior student crash

Emergency responders aid a Senior High School student who was struck by a car at Grand Avenue and 5th Street West shortly before 8 a.m. Monday.

A male student at Billings Senior High School was hit by a vehicle while he was walking across Grand Avenue on his way to school Monday morning, according to Billings Police.

The boy did not appear to be seriously injured, according to Billings Police Sgt. Shane Winden, but he was taken by ambulance to Billings Clinic.

Winden said he did not know the student's age.

The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. as the student was attempting to cross Grand Avenue at the intersection with Fifth Street West, Police Officer Mitch Hilier said.
