Southeast Montana is expected to see some light snow continuing today, but the forecast in the Billings area is expected to remain mostly sunny and clear today, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow accumulation is likely to total less than 1 inch for most of the region from Forsyth to the southeast edge of the state, although Ekalaka and surrounding areas could see up to 2 inches, NWS predicts.

In Billings, sunny or partly sunny skies are expected to persist at least through Sunday, with temperatures breaking into the 50s beginning Friday and continuing into next week.

Windy conditions are likely throughout the region in the next few days, according to NWS, and could create hazardous driving conditions in wind-prone areas and locations where fresh snow has fallen.
