Warmer temperatures are likely in the Billings area for the next few days, but cloudy skies and the threat of rain could chill temperatures over the weekend.

The National Weather Service expects possible showers and thunderstorms to creep back into the forecast on Friday.

A mostly sunny day is expected Wednesday. Highs will near 84 and southwest winds will blow at 5 to 7 mph.

Lows will drop into the high 50s Wednesday night. Skies will stay mostly clear and southwest winds will calm to between 3 and 8 mph.

Highs will peak just below 90 degrees on Thursday. Sunny skies are likely and a west southwest wind of 9 to 11 mph is likely.

Thursday night, skies will remain mostly clear as lows fall to 59.
