Billings residents intent on keeping their grass green will have to keep watering their lawns this week, because no relief from hot and dry weather is expected until Friday.
The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies and highs near 89, Tuesday. A light wind from the east blowing between 5 and 9 mph is expected in the afternoon.
Lows will fall to 59 Tuesday night and winds will calm after midnight.
Wednesday's weather is expected to be almost identical to Tuesday's outlook. Sunny skies and a high near 89 is predicted. A southwest wind 6 to 8 mph will become southeast in the afternoon.
Winds will continue Wednesday night and skies will stay mostly clear. Lows are expected to drop to 60.
