The next few days in Billings should be mostly dry, but the threat of isolated showers could have residents reaching for their galoshes.

The National Weather Service expects a 30 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms after noon Thursday under mostly cloudy skies. Highs will reach 72.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase to 50 percent by Thursday evening, as lows fall to 47. Winds of 6 to 13 mph will blow from the north.

Cloudy skies will continue into Friday as will a chance for some precipitation. Highs will reach 64. 

Lows will fall to 44 overnight Friday and the threat of showers will continue before midnight. An east northeast wind between 5 and 8 mph will become calm after midnight.
