ZooMontana opened its doors to the public again Thursday with a new liability insurance policy in place.
The zoo was forced to close after its insurance policy with Philadelphia Insurance was canceled.
Zoo Board President Ian McDonald said the payment was late, resulting in the cancellation of the policy.
“They really pulled a miracle off getting this done and underwritten this quickly, so kudos to them,” McDonald said.
The policy was signed Wednesday night.
Daniel Lundquist, the zoo’s director of marketing, said the zoo is back up and running — and this weekend’s Geranium Fest is scheduled to go as planned.
